Here you will find simple applications that demonstrate various HGE features.
For learning purposes full source code is included within each package.
1. Particle systems and render targets
Demonstartes particle system and render target features. Also uses some keyboard input and sound pitch, volume and panning control.
2. Animated menu
Demonstrates basic GUI implementation and using custom GUI controls. Sample game menu with animated background.
3. Distortion mesh
Distortion mesh allows effects like water, lenses, page wraps, various twists and even real-time morphing.
4. Thousand of Hares
Demonstrates HGE rendering power: thousand of scaled, rotated, tinted, smoothed and alpha-blended sprites.
Also shows effect of different blending modes and tiniting (without performance hit at all!).
5. The Big Calm
Demonstrates usage of special effects and complex lighting simulation.
Despite scene complexity runs at rather high FPS due
to usage of per vertex tinted sprites without a texture for large screen areas.
